Hi ChinaRyukin,
I notice a few thing:- 1) You already have green water, Congratulations after all the hardwork you put in to get this. 2) Your ranchu has tremendous growth. I like the first ranchu you shown. Nice body and headgrowth, very balance and from side view, very smooth curve as well, believe it is a good balance swimmer. It also has a deep coloring. I think this fish will grow to become a very nice ranchu. Coudl you share what is your current feeding schedule ? And what do you feed them at this curent moment? Regards, Ryan |

Dont mind i start first. Seem like it is quite hard to have green water without strong light. I put my smaller tub outdoor and green water come easily on the third day recently(But in the past 2 weeks green water come very late). Water will become very dark untill hardly see the fishes on the sixth day. However i do pour back a small cup of green water whenever i do water change. Also at this moment carpet algaes are very less. Hopes this could help u a bit. I also waiting for yeemiau's feedback regarding the fish food. Mine going to finish next week. Best regards. |

Chinaryukin,
What Ho said is correct. What I do normally is that I will take out the fish together with some green water. Then I pour out all the water in the tank. The green water that I have with the fish would become the seed algae. I notice that if I feed more heavilyto the fish, the algae would tend to come out much faster. Though I don't know whether this is the correct way. Regards, Ryan |

Hi HO,
Thanks alot for sharing. Your ranchus look healthy, they got nice shape of body and tail. Compard to mine it look abit smaller, but don't worry. I can see their head and wen is growing. Good job Ho. I'm just curious, where goes the carpet algae, did u clean entire tank during water change? I think they need both carpet alge and green water, but better get our Ipoh geng to give advice and confirm this. Yeemiau, Pls advice me on the feeding time and amount of bloodworm at this stage. Also the depth of the water, and water cycle duration. I did water-change yesterday and put them back into the main tank this evening (they stayed overnight in the ikea tank). P'Palak, Why very quite? How's your ranchus? When r u going for Ipoh Visit? Cheers, |
