Hey Pilik Palak,

Before I even attempt to get some, I just wondering or could you enlighten me and others where to get those standard fibre tanks in KL.......I think my place can just accomodate a 4 x 2. Nothing bigger than that. And appreciate if you can state a price range.

Thanks.

So the question here is whether the rest of us has the space, time and equipment sufficiently to keep these lovely ranchus before putting up our hands to state our wants.

4x2 is good enough for 4-5 adult ranchu. (say plus minus 16-20cm)
Auto feeders for daily feeding (RM25), hand feed with bloodworm for training and fun when you r free/ weekend morning, air pump + stone (RM20), Tub/tank/pond (whichever suits you best), daily see see look look for few minutes as observation in development and 100% water change in 4-8 days .... that's all you'll need for a basic start up...

not forgetting a little passion and love to the fish.... Cheers...

Many has asked about the fibreglass tank we got and where to buy.

We actually custom made them by one small factory in Ipoh. It cost us RM160 each. minimum order 10pcs. (I think negotiable) 50% deposite and 50% upon delivery. I can order on behalf or I give you contact details and you can deal direct.

Someone already shown interest by taking 4 up. i'd like to know who else will be interested.

Regarding transport, I know a transport company can send the things to KL at a fee. the invoice will bill to the reciever in KL. so you guys can pay him the money for transport... Not sure about the cost yet, estimated around 300-400

So. the tank will cost 190-200 total each.

Dimension, 5' x 4' x 12" depth. with 2" draining pipe.

i think the tank is around Rm 100.00 and design for growing babies fish. Now there is a plastic tube as the same dimension comes from Guppy Plastic(blue colour).heard more cheaper than the fibre glass tank.

We deeply encourage people to come collect the fish themself. If you come to see how we do it... you'll have 180 degree mindset change about goldfish, just like when we meet pilik-palak in person. With face to face interaction and Q&A regarding all Ranchu related issues... i bet you won't regret the trip...

But, I know pilik-palak will come to Ipoh personally to collect his fish, so if you can't make it here, he'll be always glad to bring your fish back to KL for you. But a little sponsor for his trip is much appriciated. For this situation, pilik-palak will brief you the details and further Q&A, will be taken care in this forum.

We hope you all can arrange one day in the weekend to take a drive to Ipoh. Get to meet other fellow enthusiast and see the whole Ranchu picture back in Ipoh.

Please let me know your comment

for a 4' x 5' tank, you can keep up to 8 adult each.

You can have a feel with it this year with 5-10 fish, then you expand from there next season.

2 tank is more then enough for a starter
