Goldfish that breed in Malaysia.Thru hand selection and inbreeding ,most of the goldfish is being modified to local indentity and the fish hv a diffrence form from the parental stock that cames from China.In the moment our Malaysia hv ping-pong pearlscale,tiger head and broad tails.

In 2006,we discover 3 new breed goldfish that cames from Ipoh,

1)Telescope Tiger head with Butterfly tail.A crosses between telescope eye tiger head with butterfly tail goldfish.the fish still under F2.The breed was discover accidently by my friend who saw the fish in one of the local supplier and was inform that the breeder down line in2 F2.

2)Telescope Tiger Head with fused tail and pom-pom.very rare and specially bred for fused tail.

3)Red Cap Egg Phoenix that we saw in the Ipoh and Singaporean who went to the farm visit oso saw the breed.

Just found out that one of the private goldfish enthusiast in Petaling jaya want to create the long extinct breed from Malaysia,Goose Head Ping-Pong Pearlscale.He want to bring back the glory of the breed.This is good news.

Here is the goldfish info from that link..

================================================== ========

1)Ping-pong/golfball pearscale :
One is the most famous in Asia and Western from our 'Ipoh', homeland of goldfish creater. Our ever green ping pong/golfball pearlscale.It seem that our local strain is the best pearscale shape in the world !!.Singapore was the no 1 country that import our local ping-pong/golfball pearscale and export world wide.p/s just a rumour heard from ipoh breeder.Do correct me if i'm wrong.

2)Malaysia black strait butterfly tail :
The only butterfly tail outside china who report to hv a butterfly tail shape resemble wave of a roof tile.This variety is our 2nd local variety goldfish trade mark with super black resemble indian ink.

3) New discovery calico high body high-head with head of a hamanishiki(2004) :
Accidently discover at kok aqua in pj old town.I bought several pair ,unluckly me 2 pair in my hand died due dropsy after keep them for several weeks.Last month saw this variety in kok aqua again.

4)New discovery 'sakura' single tail with pom-pom(2005) :
This very unic pom-pom that look like fungus sponce.

6)telecopic eye with tiger head and short-body(2003) :
Quite rare in the market but frequenly seen in xian leng @ shah alam.

7)Our short body tiger-head with lobe tail(1995) :
Very common seen in aquarium shop and there are more than 10 type of shape and finnage.Some hobby now try find out their unic form and maintain this delicate breed since this breed easly getting bloat because of it body shape.Was told that some indonesia goldfish breeder now improved our local tiger-head.

8.)Our own creation of shubunkin :
I found that there are several version in this breed and need some guide from 'sifu" again.

9)Ryukin with fan-like tail(2000) :
Very common available in aqua shop.There also contain several version/form in this variety and further study need to comfirm this.

10)Pearscale oranda(tiger-head) :
Discover on the year 2002.We lost all 14 pcs after one our group member overdoses with medication on the quarantin priod. we might create this type using our own tiger head with hamanishiki.No breeding in the moment,just our group aim in the future.

11)Single tail telescopic eye :
We tot this variety lost thru hobby,but found in ipoh at the breeder of butterfly tail.it look like veil shape without any folk tail.no one seem intrested in,so the group don't hv this strain.

12)Ranchu X lionhead :
We also found in ipoh where some breeder used ranchu X chinese lionhead(sau sing) and managed produced some nice short body ranchu-lionhead.u might seen this type commonly found in pj aqua shop.common available in Irene aqua shop,Tyre Lee Hin aqua shop in kuchai lama,Kok aqua in pj old town...etc.

I just bought the fish b4 CNY and unfortunally u need to make sure the water level is less than 3 inch.very deform fish .I don't think the fish grow large.

Just double check on this races stated that Xian Leng sucessfully maintain this races and sometime Shah Alam Xian Leng selling this races time to time.They crosses this races with Calico Oranda with Goose Head Pearlscale.

One our X member sucessfully breed the Xian Leng version and found out that 20% of the babies hv tiny pearlscale.He's still maintain the line but the breed won't grow big.That's the sad part.
