Pls share with us your setup. how big is your tank? what kind of filter system? what is your waterchange cycle? anything different or wierd on their body? photo can help also.
comet is a very hardytype of goldfish, very active...swim very fast. i have some wakin that behave the same, but later i keep them in a big floor tank and greenwater so they are comfortable even when i switch on the light.
i had same problem with my late moor when i just got it and kept him in 3' glasstank. whenever i turn on light he will quickly swim everywhere, even hit the glass. so best to switch off the light until he get confortable with the new place. never shock them with the light by switching at night, another tip to try later is to switch on from the day, make them use to the light, then let it on until night so they did not get shock. but always remeber to switch it off before you go to sleep, becoz the fish also want to rest. but try this tip later when they are more comfortable.
happy goldfishing and good luck,
