IMO,
Whenever top or side is not important. It's all up to the ppl's who own the fish.

Most ranchu r specially groom for top view and side view is totally out of the ways.

From the photos that u show, the fish look pleasing in both ways.It that Thai Ranchu?.

IMO This is Thai Ranchu. It's not Japanese Ranchu. Good to view from top and also from the side. But the top view is not as good as japanese ranchu.
TVR or SVR is depend on how the owner keep it. If he keep it in aquarium, it SV and if in pond or floortank then TV.

Cheers,

As many had said..' u need to erased all ur previous technics in keep goldfish B4 handling Jap Ranchu' without arguing. If u can do that maybe there is a 'bright light'.Just focus on what they teach u.that's all.
