did you mean feeding too much and cause bad digestion? If so, the poo will not be like normal poo.. it'll be something like white or transparent, notice of BW shell floating around, etc. I could be sign of indigestion...

I think i still hav long way to achieve 50g per day. My TVR seem don't eat that much and size is much smaller than you all.

I need to find a good way to improve.

Yeemiau,
can i increase nos of meal ? If i feed bloodworm, can i start feed at 5am -10am for 1 hr interval and last meal with pellet at 11am ? In this case, i may able to feed more.

regards
eu

Eu,

Sure you can.

That's what we all are doing for the time being, starts a little bit early; to gain 1-2 hour extra on feeding time. And your last meal of pallet can drag till 12pm, no worries.

Experiment with timing a little. Amount of BW vs timing.

I'm trying out small quantity but short timing (which is foul play and our sensei does not recommend it) to see if any improvement. So far, not very effective... Fish grew almost 1.5x the length within 4-5 days but belly small... pls refer to my pic. We need some width like CR ones

In order to make your fish have stronger appetite, tease them.....

the very first meal of the day, take out a quarter of cube and let it melt on a small plate.
Use toothpick pick up 4-5 worms and show around on top of the water for a few seconds at one spot; to lure them over. You'll notice these hungry fellas are getting more excited and you put the worms in. they'll fight and or cos, some may not able to eat any... nevermind... after you see those who ate and swollowed, wait for half a min or so.. repeat step one. Do this for a while and you notice these fella getting aggressive everytime you drop few worms in, you may drop in a bigger piece. let them finish and hunt for few minutes, drop another... end of the day, you'll notice your fish can eat faster and consume more...

Have fun,

Cheers.

Yeemiau,

I understand that "NO FEEDING AT NIGHT"!!!! But when is the earliest we can start the first meal? Is it ok to start at 3am or 4am? last night I wake up at 4am to feed them 4 cubes BW (about 16g). Next I feed them at 7am another 4cubes BW. They finished 4 cubes within less than 30 minits. After that I goto work; autofeeder (sinking pellet hikari lionhead) at 9.30am then 11.30am.

I can see they r swimming everywhere hungry looking for food when i got home from work. Maybe there is no more carpet algae avaiable to feed on. But I realised their belly is big although feeding stop at noon. I gez it look big but empty inside...make them very hungry.

Any tips and advise!!!!

Like the Sifu said, now is time to push the feeding on the BBR to boost up the shape, that is the purpose beside the growth.

But for your 1 year old, their body shape r already stable..only need to grow and boost the head as necessary. So their feeding is different, please get advice from the Sifu for your nisai. Also good if you can send photos!!!

Cheers,
