Eu,

Don't worry about size. Eventually, all our fish will be around the same size and there're possibility the giant will be in your hand. The main reason that we boost the feeding at this time is th SHAPE the fish, not for it's size. Size will come in time...

To share my experience...

Someone took our fish last year and dump them in a big pond for a few months. Result was shocking, the fish grew so fast and it measure around 6 - 7 inch while ours still around 4 inch... i mean the fish... not me... the fish....

(PLEASE!!! THINK NOTHING ELSE BUT FISH!!!...heheheh )

Shape of body and tail all gone, no wen... BUT SIZE....

Most likely, if the feeding amount is right, tub size is right and keeping method is right... our fish will live long long and you'll get an average size of 6-7 inch in year 2-3.

Hi to all,

Tail Form Development Is As Important

I understand that it is also very important to control fishes swimming activity to avoid deforming their tail development. A lot of swimming & chasing will slowly contibute to tail shape failure. Fishes will swimming actively in CW and easily get disturb when ppl come close tank. They will also swim around when hungry when no more carpet algae to graze on.

Therefore I believe, very important to get GW quickly when the carpet algae is finished. I am writing this becoz some of us are having problem with limited sunlight which delay/slow the GW. Also because our feeding stop at noon, if there is no more green carpet avaiable (in CW) they will be hungry, swimming everywhere. In GW they can countinously feed on the green algae. Also the visibility is limited so they are a lot calm and relax.

So I practice; GW on day-3. GW can come naturaly/cultivated within the normal process, which can happen quick provided your tank get plenty of sunlight (eg. like Yeemiau's setup), or on day-3 I siphon from my other tank (my spare tank or my wakin tank which always GW).

Comment and advise r welcome.

I think I can answer on behalf,

Still stick to the golden rule, 1 hour of full feeding and 1 hour of digestion. Vincent does not follow by how many cubes or grams per feed or timing. He'll feed BW non stop with close monitoring for one hour and let them rest for another hour. until 12, he'll feed 30 minutes worth of pallets. I'm guessing he normally starts feeding around 5-6am and occasionally, 4-5am.

Bro Vincent, please add any extra if you have some other info. Thanks.

Cheers.
