Hi EGGFISH,

You can join our workshop later this year. We'll have good explanation on this topic. Will keep you all informed regarding the workshop date.

Or, you can search other thread. I've already covered this topic there.

Thanks

I like this very nice color pattern, good development on head and body.
Pls also take care with the tail formation.
Keep up the good work.

Any latest photos?

My pcs are ok, still alive & swimming.
My wife observed that Group1 (in CW) lost appetite compared to Group2 (in GW).
Now, I plan to keep them together in the main tank (5'x3' cement tank).
Will send latest photos soon.

Cheers,

Hi to all,

I've been away from tvr for quit sometime, lucky I got wife and family willing to takeover.

Here are some photos taken just now:

Observation: Not much/significant changes from the top, but they r abit bigger looking from sideview. I really need to do something to push back their appetite. I guz a bigger space can solve this problem.

Comments are most welcome!!!!!

CR,

Good stuff you got there and can see now you r training your family to be Ranchu player also huh? hehehe

Everyone,

I have done some R&D on water change method to minimize the stress subject to the fish during the transaction.

This technique is not fine tuned yet and relatively new to me too. I've tried it 2 times and result is outstanding. Fish no more hide around once you plae them back to the tub; summore seek for food and not afraid of people on the first momont they're back in new water.

Step one,
Scoop old water, basin full, and place fish in the basin.

Step two,
Place basin on lower ground level.

Step three,
use an air hose and introduce aged water to basin; via the hose. And, let it overflow. Don't use any bigger hose cos introduction of new water need to be slow and air hose is just nice; flow need to be controlled.

Step four,
just let it overflow until old water is very very diluted.

Step five,
place the fish back to tub.

Any comment/questions?

attached pic is before and after. About 30 min.

Hi Yeemiau,

I tested your new method, it's very useful.
I used the air stone, if necessary, to further slow the water in-flow.
Thanks for the tip.

Now my tvr are reunited in 5' cement tank.

Cheers,
