After work I visited few LFS nearby, finally I manage to get the Hikari Daphnia. The LFS is Galaxy Aquarium at uptown.

For those who never seen it, here is a photo to share;

Galaxy is the 1 near std chartered / starbucks, facing inward to Uptown. The Hikari Daphnia is RM3 per pack.

I think those living in Singapore very lucky. Got plenty of LFS and all very close by. No need to travel so far to get what we want. Some more got plenty of LFS selling quality goldfish. Even market stalls sometimes can find very nice goldfish.

The babies are still too small to swallow BW since their mouth and stomach are very small and not yet strong to feed on BW. Therefore their system also can process it (daphnia) faster. It will take them quit longtime to finish chewing/feeding and process the BW compared to the daphnia.

It's like feeding solid food to human baby..cannot what coz their body & digestion system is not fully develop yet.

But it is good to start teaching them to take the BW also. If I don't have the daphnia, just cut the BW into small/short pcs to help the feeding it.

Once they r comfortable with BW then can forget about the daphnia. I think in few weeks time they will be ok with just BW and small pellet (eg. saki-hikari)

Cheers,

another question is, do u guys soak the bloowdworms in clean water first before feeding to the fish? or just direct throw in the bloodword which is cold.

I cut it into small pcs then drop straight to the water, it will float for a while...you can see the babies come to surface to eat.
