My bbr were also small compared to the others when i pick them from Ipoh. It was due to the quarentine (no feeding)when I got them, I started feeding them 4 times daily, now I can see their size are 2-3 bigger after 2 weeks keeping. Some are bigger than the others.
Now I'm feeding them with BW at between 7-8am, Hikari Lionhead (autofeeder) at 4.30am, 9.30am, 11am & 12.30pm.

Cheers,

Yeah, my bbr/cbr also smaller. But most important is healthy. I feed them with bloodworm at 5am, 6.40am. Pellet by autofeeder at 9am & 11.45am. I scare of left over excessive food that cause problem, thus don't really feed that much.

When feeding, bbr seem not that hungry. Need to spend at least 30 min to finish 1/3 cube of bloodworm.

Abt water, at the moment i got green algea at botom tub and dark green algea at side wall. I saw bbr is eatting them. Hope this will help for growth of head. Due to limited sunlight, i dun get GW in the tub. I am trying to use other method to do so.

Regards
eu

Since they are small I suggest u cut the BW cube into smaller pcs, I used to cut a cube (using knife) into 6 small pcs. They will swallow it faster coz the BW is much shorter and easier bite. Now I dont have to cut it anymore, jsut put in 2 cubes BW, theyll finish it in 20-30 minites.

How do you cultivate the green carpet algae? Do you mind sharing?

Cheers,

I am not sure i got carpet algea. It just look like dirty green at the bottom of tub. i got them after 2nd week of water change. My balcony don't get direct sunlight. It just very bright during the day.

For feeding, do you defrost the BW ? I will try you method. Today i found the fish is bigger and can swallow the BW eaisier.

No defrost, I cut it while it is hard as ice..then put it floating in the water.
Does anyone know of water plant hormone? Where can ge them? I'm thinking to try to use it if it's avaiable. But only on my spare tank.

Cheers,
