My 5.5" Black Ranchu was passed away on Monday after a week on medication due to suspected of dropsy. The body was bloated & scales were partially & slightly lifted. The fins were rotten & colour of scales were looked pale (lost of colour). Cheers. |

Ur fish got 'White spot'.Look at the tail u can see the white spot clearly.Ur fish 'wen 'got infection too. This could due to poor water quality.
Try 0.5% salt solution.Hope for the best.cheers.

Anyway, i agree with you that it is due to poor water quality, either high ammonia or nitrites or nitrates. I encountered this before, and the white usually will disappear after water change done. See what is the result after 3 days. Cheers. |

Hi all,
I notice that there is a thin layer of liked mucus accumulated on the water surface with tiny bubbles at side of the wall. I tried to scoop it out and did water change yesterday, but it still keep on accumulating. Does anyone here know what is this? |
