Hi,

Recently, I bought a few ranchu. I place a sucker fish with them.

After few weeks, I saw some of my golden ranchu body appear blankish in color. What happen? It is the sucker fish that make them this way?

Next question.

I've place artificial glass mat at the bottom of the tank. It floated about 3 inches high. A lot of the uneaten food and shit settle beneath. Worst still, my ranchu actually give brith to few baby frys. They are all below the plants eating those food.

What's the best method be scoop the fry up?

Vincent - I don't know about sucker fishes, but would certainly suggest you check your water quality. You can take a water sample to the pet store and they will usually test for free if you don't have test kits yourself.

If I were you, and had little ones, I would get them out any way I could and isolate them before they get eaten. Net or "wash" them into a container to remove. You'll probably have to remove that bottom thing, but I'll tell you what, there is no such thing as an easy way to do things in a fish tank. It's always messy! If you want to save the fry, get them out as gently as possible. They need a safe place to grow.
