Hi,
Got 2 red and white ryukins. For one ryukin the red color is becoming more darker and also it is getting some black folor lines over her fins and tails. And for the other ryukin the entire red color is fully vanishes becomes white now. Whats the reason for this? Both are kept in same tank and under partial sunlight falls everyday. Feeding them live blood words daily, frozen worms, pettets, some times tetrabits(discus) also. Using well water. Its a 4 feet bare bottom tank changing 30% wc every 2 days. Any suggestions for these color changes will be appreciated. Cheers Stars |

Need more info:
1) How big r the ryukins? 2) How long uv kept them? When did color change start? How long it took to change? 3) How big is ur tank? 4x2x2? Wat else in the tank? Wat filter? 4) Wat anti-chlorine u use? other additive? For color change, usually the first culprit is the water. Either not stable/matured. or too hi NO3. or too hi Phosphate. Hv u checked n tested the water? watsmore ur using "well water"? hmm... questionable... do u drink/cook with the well water? or bathe in it also?First time hear of using well water. PS. where do u get live blood worms? where u located? Happy investigating |

They are all in 2 inches in size. I am having them for the past 3 weeks. Color started to change after a week i bought them.
tank size is 4x2x2. Only 6 ryukins are there in the tank allr in 2 inches of size. Kept in a bare tank with normal air stone in it. Not used any anti clorine, the same water using for all other tanks all hav the constant dark red color for som color has intensified. VB |
