Question...

How can you tell a ranchu is a showclass type, AAA or A grade? Any guides?

What is considered sideview or topview ranchu?

I just got myself 2 Sakura ranchus.

Thanks.

If you know how to get to PJ old town then you should be able to find your way to Old Klang Road. When you reach OKL,turn right and go straight until you see the police station and you wil see on the right there is a mosque. The road the mosque is on is Jln Puchong. Make your way to that road and drive straight down until you see a petrol station on your right, and there will be some flags with pics of koi with them. Turn in there and you will see Arowana Aquarium.

Why quarantine new fish? Simple...to prevent outbreak of disease in your tank by observing the fish and if needed administer the proper treatment to the fish.
Usually quarantine with 0.3% salt in your water for about 3 weeks to a month. For first 1-2 weeks don't feed. Water changes are made once a day, about 50% is changed, but make sure when making water back to 0.3% salt don't forget that not all the salt is taken out with water you changed and add full amount of salt, otherwise you get ham yu! Some people forget this by mistake and fish die due to too high salt percentage. Also, after 2 weeks, you can slowly decrease salt percentage, which means don't need to add salt after water change for next week or so until quarantine period finish, then your fish should be safe to inroduce with your current stock.
This is only a general idea and one of the methods of quarantine. Perhaps some other bros may have diff view how to quarantine the fish.

If baby ranchu is very small, like black baby, then maybe I will not put salt and will feed a little bit,but still change water everyday and moniter them carefully. Administer any medication only when necessary. But as before quarantine about one month. Increase feeding after completing each week but moniter ammopnia and pH levels.
Any nice baby ranchu? At the moment I have some that I bred...parents are Thai black ranchu, but diff to bring to KL at the moment...they are only about an inch...so I recommend you go Cheras Aquarium,Arowana Aquarium,Ehsan Aquarium and there is a new one I think(not sure, just found out a few minutes ago from another forum, around Klang I think)...but they are offering Thai and Jap babies...here is how to contact them...myranchushop@yahoo.com or 012-6531662
Other than that is to go around shopping to see for yourself...sometimes other shops have nice ones, too.
