Question chocolate gouramis

need some help. i recently bought some chocolate gouramis but am having trouble getting them to eat. i know they are extremely shy fish and some research has shown tt they are pretty difficult to care for. hv tried everything from flake food, pellets, frozen bloodworms, freeze dried bloodworms and brine shrimp flakes. but even if the food is around them or right in front of their face, they d/o seem to want to eat. anyone can help?

chocolate gouramis origin from those black water. PH is around 3.5-4.5. You need to check on the water parameter from lfs and yr water parameter. This is the sign of dying. Because of high PH will kill them.

The best is try to keep the original PH level...and raise the PH slowly till it is the same with yr tank water.

try live daphnia. Sometimes finicky fish like choc gouramis need to be tempted with some live food to start.

Dear Izmel,

Are you sure they are not caring for the babies?
They keep them in the mouth.
When I was a kid, some one caught some from the local stream and we later discoverd it has babies in its mouth when we net it out to play with it.
Hahaha, just joking lah.
Do you have some to sell?

Cheers!
