Once you clean out the tank the gouramis will be in an environment that will be in the middle of cycling......whether theyre in a tank or a bowl or a bucket.........if whatever your putting them in is not cycled then your gouramis ARE doing the dirty work.......the slime isnt causing your problems. What are your water stats?
