gourami info please

hi i have just bout a few gouramis, one gold gourami and two little robins. i was wandering like i always do, what the dangly things are for they always seem to move like radars and touch the glass all the time, can you tell me what they are for please and any over good information that i can have please. thanks

HI omega G , gouramis are labyrinth( thats means the can breath air from the surface of water..Meanwhile the dangly thing u mention is actually feelers , it is used for stablization while swimming.Besides the feelers are believed to be also known as acting as radar, where they can search for food. gourami can live roughly from 5-6 years and of course gouramis are peaceful fish.
