My first Gouramis ... with picture!

I just got a big white (with red polka dots) Gouramis as a gift. It is such a character. Just wondering how will I know how old is the fish? It is around 2' size.

Here's a picture of it...anyway...just wondering how much food should I feed the fish? I gave 1 stamp of vege a day..is it enough??
