BTW Wat happened to regng?? He's not keeping guppies anymore or just too busy with other commitment?? After the tragedy I doubt Sahari has much to spare you. I just begun to keep some normal lfs guppies but population down to 1/3 maybe the haze effect too. I also keep it outside. Only 4 left but luckily 1 of the females spawn before she passed out a healthy 13 brood. Trying very hard to maintain it. Anyway I think we can organise a trip to the local breeder farm somewhere Shahari had been before. It's one of regng acquaintance also. They posted about the trip somewhere in the forum. All of us seemed to need restocking.

So Sahari if you are going to the farm to restock let us know. We can join as a trip.

Hey Square!

I noticed another thing that you seemed to be everywhere? Are you really keep so many fishes @ home? You seemed to want to get every species : discus, betta, guppies don't know what more. I wish I had the resources and space to do that.

Hope to have more responses here, especially if there are any Ipoh people. All guppy fans are welcomed, especially those seasoned experienced ones.
Hi Adrian , my name Kamalruzzaman. I'm in same group with Sahari. I hear there is a guppy farm in Taiping or Chemor but not sure where is the location. This farm did supply guppy to farm in Rawang for export. We did purchased the guppy from this farm.

Last we did go to Lawan Kuda searching for the guppy farm but most all the farm there only breed gold fish. We also visit Ban Li farm near Simpang Pulai but also the same. We also visit few fish shop in Tambun hope to find a good quality strain but all shop only sale normal guppy.

Sorry to hear that some of you guys lost many fishes this week.
I'm also interested if you guys are organizing a trip to a guppy farm.

Square - I also agree with you, LFS here seldom sells quality guppies. If got also, they very smart, only sell males.

Sahari, if u worried about the left over F1, sale some of it to me, I'm ready to help you to keep and breed them.. oh ya.. this is the experiment I promised:

Experiment 1:
1. a pair of male Neon Tuxedo + trio female golden german yellow tail tuxedo.
2. F1 you get red tail tuxedo and sky blue tail tuxedo, take only sky blue tail tuxedo.
3. F2 you will get 1:16 super white sky blue tail tuxedo for each birth.

This is an experiment to obtained super white. Try it!

Hi Wilson,

At the moment I do not have fish 2 spare. The F1 only 1 month. I will put in this forum if its ready and let go to the members who interested.
Actually Kamalrul, me and another 4 friends form a group and we try to search the farm which breed and selling quality guppy in Malaysia.
Our purpose is to see and learn how they breed and organise the farm but so far we never find it.
In KL and Selangor, we already visit Bukit Belacan, AI in Kg. Subang, Rawang.
For outskirt, we had been to Jelutong Penang, Sg. Bakap, Kulim, Lawan Kuda, Tambun but cannot find any farm which really breed and selling good and quality guppy.
Our next target is to go to Johor and probably to Singapore.

Our source now to get a quality and Fancy guppy is RegNg, Nobunaga and some I ask my friend to buy from Thailand as he sometime travel for works.

Hopefully one day all the members of guppy fan will meet and gather to know each other and form a strong group even if not as a club.
We have an experience and sifu here like RegNg and Nobunaga who can lead us to our goal ...MGC (Malaysian Guppy Club).

Sahari

Hi Sahari,

Wow almost whole of Malaysia already you trekked. Then save us a lot of time & travelling. So.. well Malaysia got no fancy quality guppies farmers. Nevermind we need to at least upgrade our skills in breeding the common ones first not at this R.I.P. rate.

Anyway Sahari you mentioned sometimes your friends bring some back from Thai for you. So what's the procedure like. I heard in order to bring in live fishes we have to apply for an import permit from Department of Fisheries. Don't tell me your friend smuggled those guppies. Kena tangkap susah lor. One thing is the custom's quarantine centre at the airport. Just don't trust them. If leave them to quarantine the fish for 2 weeks, we might just as well bring in dead fish. So how the procedure actually work?? I just want to know because I might be going to Bangkok for training end of the year or next year (if I am still with the company hopefully). If it's not very troublesome I might consider bringing alot!!! Hahaha a little bit for every guppy lover!!

Hi Ng, it quite a long time never hear from you. I has been contacted by a guy name by Azhan interested to buy a guppy from us. He got my email address from you. But sorry to said we unable to sales to him because our
stock also very limited. We only exchane among hopefully the fish can breeding.

Last two weeks all my 10 pairs of red eye snakeskin gone because of fungus.
Now I only have 4 tank ,but mixed with other strain. Most these fish is in F2 stage. I use good quality strain such us ribbon blue, yellow snake skin partner with normal female. My plan now to choose among these fish and try to breed and develop the strain. But will wait until haze condition get improve since all my tank located at my garden. I will check with Lee Sg Bakap if he also have
started breeding again. Plan to buy few pairs from because he guppy we purchase last time is very healthy.

if have any strain want to sales just inform us.

But sometime 88 shop in subang jaya ss15 their sales strain like red eye tail,
red and yellow snake skin male and female and neon.

normally I buy female guppy from them because the female they sales is AA and AAA grade. these female's I pair up with normal and quality strain either
in pairs or trio.

now haze condition in sunway and subang getting more worse.yesterday rain also not do much improvement. At moment stop all outside activity.
Now I'm in process do the survey the farm in Kulai Johor. In that area also have few farm breeding a guppy for export. Hopefully can get in touch with them and allow us do the visiting to their farm .
