Eng,

His number should be 016-4386552.
His fish almost imported from Thailand and price range between Rm60.00 to RM120.00 perpair.

Sometimes he get from US and price is more expensive. Our last visit to his shop, we saw there is a pair of RREA Galaxy selling for RM300+++.

But from my opinion if you are willing to spend such of RMXXX for this fancy guppy it is better you get the strain from Taiwan or Japan.

By the way where do you get your female? I need a pair of German Yellow Tail. Do you have any source.

YaikSin,

Are you confirm coming to KL on early September? I need to put aside my budget for the MB.
Also need your advice. Is it okay or not if I outcross my male MB with female Blue Grass as my MB female was eaten by a frog recently.I do not really understand about the gene.

I think I will settle for local guppies 1st. RM2xx/pair is tad little expensive.
for good pair overseas.
Hmmm, for my own opinion, once you start guppy, you won't stop... you will keep on buying and buying, once you buy you can't stop...

Some hobbyist is spending RMxxxx for pair of guppy, because they love guppy and willing to pay... For myself, I am not at this level yet, but I am willing to pay RM2xx for GOOD fish...

Anyway, PM me if you are going to Penang, I might be around on weekend... Can come out for Teh Tarik and have some information exchange...

Exactly as what NobuNaga said, this is common habit of most guppy fans, I've been like that b4. I've a record of buying in 200 pair guppy a months, different strain, different originator, this is horrible and really mesh..

Luckily I realize early and begin with proper planning. Maintaining a strain is much much easy than few strain. The more strain you have then the more tank you need.. and the longest time to success in breeding of quality guppy.

So I'd suggest start with a strain that you like most, you can buy more and keep for maintaining the breed.

I'm now only concerntrate on tuxedo and snake skin and I have 30 over tank. What about you guys?

I agree with Reg and NobuNaga. On early stage, I bought anything that I like.
One time I have almost 10 different strain but due lack if knowledge and experience all the fish died. I spent almost RM500+++ for tank and equipment but still fail to breed a good quality.
Now I concentrate for two strain only, Moscow Blue and Blue Grass.
All my tanks are outside and my most enemies are water condition and frog...
(YakSin, I really admire your Moscow Blue strain). Hopefully you can be here soon...

Yesterday night at Taman Megah, PJ bought back 2 male Platinum German Yellow Tail tuxedo, 1 male golden german yellow tail tuxedo and 2 male mosaic. The Platinum German Yellow Tail Tuxedo really nice, I've to search right female to couple with them.. Anyone have female German Yellow Tail Tuxedo for spare? RREA or Non-RREA also can.

lol....... if guppies goes for $XXXX i might as well have arowana rather guppies.Althought arowana is one of the most hardest fish to keep but if properly take care , it price can goes up to $XXXXX for one.

Anyways nothing much to intro in here.Basically not a hobby to keeping guppy, juz that trying to decorate my aquarium with some fishes so i choose guppies cause they are easy to keep. One of the few guppies i am lookin for are black, purple, red and especially red eye white guppies.Seems i dont see alot of pure white guppies around in kl.Infact it is extremely rare.

Haha but Arowana when you buy RMXXXX can reduce to RMXXX without proper maintenance/feeding. Furthermore I find Arowana very temperamental/moody. If it doesn't want to eat finish RMXXXX is going down the drain. Very difficult to judge a good quality arowana from juvenile arowana.

BTW I've never come accross a white guppy in LFS in KL. Where did you actually saw it? Hihi if got I oso plan to grab it myself without paying a premium. LOL.........

from what i know there is two type of white guppies or mayb there are more out there which i never seen. one of it is the red eye white guppy or real red eye white guppy and the other type is the normal white guppy. the real red eye is one of the rarest ones and i am not sure if there is probably one in KL.The normal white will be quite easy if u were to visit KL.I remember seeing one there.I tried to visit that place but i dont remember how to go there by car cause my friend directed me there once only. From what i know that street sell alot of electrical appliace at real cheap price. And opposite there had whole lot of fish shops like 10-15 shops in a row.But if i were to choose to buy i rather buy from anyone who willing to sell in here rather than those fish shops. Most of the guppies are not properly cared and some aquariums have dead guppies mingled among those guppies.Though the price is cheap but if u value ur home breed guppies never try to mix those that u bought from there.
