Default Guppy Fans, Introduce Yourself & Be friends

Greetings to everyone who still follows this forum , lets make this forum more lively. Please introduce yourself and where you are from. If you want to add more info, please feel free.

I'm Adrian and stays in Ipoh. A beginner who has been rearing guppies bought from LFS on and off for 1 years. Currently only have 5 pairs of 'normal' bought from LFS guppies. Have plans to start getting those fancy quality ones.

Hope to have more responses here, especially if there are any Ipoh people. All guppy fans are welcomed, especially those seasoned experienced ones.

Haha true true enuf. Our Malaysian forum is very quite not much noise unlike our neighbours. Coincidentally identified 1 or 2 of our locals quite active in those forum's too. Maybe there's not much Guppy admirers in Malaysia.

Hi I'm Wilson in KL. Started rearing fish long time ago....since young. Stop to concentrate on studies. Just pick-up back the hobby last month. Started with guppy since there's so much improvement in color and strain quality. Well have 6 pairs of LFS guppies. 1 of the females just dropped a batch of 13 fries last week. Still surviving miraculously. Some difficulties experienced in due course for unknown reason. Lost about 5 pairs. Anyway this 6 pairs is alive & kicking

Hello everybody,

I am YaikSin from Penang, we actually have a lots of guppy enthusiatic in Malaysia, but unfortunately we do not have much chance to communicate... Hopefully Reg's project to start a Guppy Club in Malaysia may come true.

For myself, I love guppy very much, I wish I can own every strain in the world... But due to space and time constrain, I only able to keep Blue Grass, RREA FullRed, Golden FullRed, Moscow Blue and Platinum Russian Purple at this moment...

Hi YaikSin,

Sorry forget to include Blue Grass and Full Red from your line.
Actually your Full Red is much better than Thailand Full Red.
Hopefully both can survive and will drop a fries.
See the Dr. Yeo Plat. Russia purple. Its amazing and glad to hear that yours also dropped a fries already.
Still waiting your Moscow Blue. I think I want to concentrate to Moscow Blue first as a starter as this strain more easy to handle compare to Full Red and Blue Grass.
My main problem is the water conditon in my area.. It's really bad. A lot of my fish that I get from Reg died because of this water condition.I scare the Full Red and Blue Grass also cannot survive but Moscow Blue can adopt this type of water.I do not really understand , why?

Hi Ng,

Nice to hear from you after so long. Do you finish your work project already?
Still waiting the "experiment" that you will give to us.
I'm not sure whether still can maintain what i have now. This hazy situation affect a lot to my fish. Almost 70% is gone. Still no idea what cause to it..
Yesterday I lost my RREA USA White tail and Thailand Full Red breeder. Really sad. Do not know whether the FI can survive or not.
All my tanks are outside and it cause me a problem. My area is consider the one of the bad hazy area. The vision is 100 meter only.
Luckily my male Moscow Blue still survive. Unfortunately the female was gone already.
Really tension now..Argh............
