Hehe quite impossible unless using Biotech to infuse them sperm & egg. 1st of all the reproduction method is totally different. Guppy is livebearer and tetra is egg layer. 2nd the reproduction organ. Because of the diff. method, they have diff. organ esp. on the male. The guppy male has a gonopodium whereas tetra doesn't (I pressume no third leg sticking out ) . Even if you artificially extracted the sperm, it doesn't recognise the egg of the diff. species. So artificial insemination will not work. So the only choice is Biotech by infusion. BTW not recommended, I wouldn't want to create a killer guppy strain .

heh i actually wanted a glowing guppy cause i thought glowing tetras are natural. But just know that those are painted checimal fishes. So i guess even to breed guppy with tetras, the result will be obvious.

Ahemmm what tetra you mean??

Neon tetra and cardinal tetra with electric blue and metallic red are not painted fish. They are real just like you and me and not man made unlike another kind which I think you saw. The ones with fluorescence yellow/orange/pink/green are the fakes. Singapore version's is genetically infused. Hehe unless any of us are involved in biotech it's virtually impossible.

Hehe just another note. I think the Singapore version is infused with squid's gene if I'm not mistaken to cause the glow.

BTW cardinal tetra is afraid of light. So keep them in a dark/dim area. That's why it has the glow. Very nice species of schooling fish. Extremely hard to breed only few successes recorded lately. Never bred before in captivity. So previously all the fishes were actually imported from South America.
