Default guppy fry died... why??

newly born guppy fry(just 1 day old and two of them) died when i put two of them in a bottle cap filled with fresh water directly from the tap water(filtered tap water).I drop one-two drops of safe guard tap water dechlorinator and vitamins into the bottle cap fill with tap water and place those guppy fry in there. The reason is because previously i drop some liquifry food for them in a normal small fish tank, they seems to dart away from the food and ignored it.So i guess putting it in a bottle cap would makes it easier for them to eat the food rather of swimming away(because the bottle cap is really small, the size is those normal 100+ softdrink caps). But they died 2 hours later...

i used to raise guppy fry in small fish tanks without air and they usually survive it.

pH shock/water condition shock. I think it's quite normal for this to happen if you rush things too quickly i.e. transfering your fries into another environment. This will be stressful for them so they died out of shock. My experience is never transfer your fries at least 1 week after birth. Transfer the adults instead but I just left them to mingled together. My 1st two fries died the same way because of my nosy siblings transfered it and done everything i.e putting dechlorinator+++. But I have now 2 batches up to 30 fries in the same tank with adult guppies and they are growing healthily. I only transferred them after 2 weeks into the indoor tank from the outdoor basin which was used to plant water lily because of deteriorating water quality. I have 100% survival rate of the 2 batches up to now. Hehe better luck next time

I think you mean take away the parents and leave the fry in the tank. Not the other way round. Anyway another method is put some bigger gravels so that the fry can hide like mine. This way you don't have to take any fishes out except sick ones

What I did is before the Mum deliver the fries, I will prepare a tank first with some water plant and air buble.
When it is time to drop a fries, I will put the Mum inside the basket and transfer in fries tank. The fries will drop thru the basket hole into the fries tank. After that I will transfer the Mum to the hospital tank about a week before transfer back in the community tank.

From day 1 I will give microworm to the fries until 2 weeks old. The tank must be siphon out and change everu 3 days. After 2 weeks, I will give Dapnia alternate with flakes to the fries and the water changing still in process but one week once.

When the fries become 1 month old, then release them in bigger tank.
