Gud luck to you. I doubt you can supply enough for your oscar. I had oscar very long long time ago. Come to think of it was like 18 years back. 1 of my first fishes. My advise is to have a 2 feet x 4 feet x 1 feet (depth) pond. Throw 3 bags of the feeder guppies into it then you can harvest after 1 month. Don't think you can do that with fancy guppies (the colorful ones). Anyway oscar's true beauty can only be amplified by feeding shrimps. I had very beautiful oscars then. Only fed them with shrimps.

Default feeder guppies

as i said earlier...da main reason im reluctant to buy feeder fish from LFS is bcos ppl say dat feeder guppies dat dey have in stores mite have parasites which may spread to ur tank...is dis true? (plus der quite smelly....make da water stink_

Hehe no guarantee if the fancy guppies had internal parasites too. I'm just suggesting you breed the feeder guppies not buying them to feed to your oscars.

Default breeding shrimp?

mmm..i think it's quite hard..haha!!never try b4..but u can start off with some female shrimp carrying eggs..
i think shrimp in lfs is more healthier than feeder guppys there..
