Smile Guppies at De Office

I'v 1 small aquarium with 1.5x1 feet tank with 20's guppies inside and minor deco (gravel and small magic filter). Basicly i dont hv experience in guppy only cichlids in 3 ft tank, and the guppy tank i place it at my office on my table where i'm only work 5 days a week. So far after 2 month my guppies still survived.

Normally wat i did b4 put d fish in de tank, i fload the fish in plastic bag i bought in my aqu. for 1-2 hours. This will give them time to knowing their enviro. Frankly i never check ph or temp. but for me is all about how u put the right amount for anti clorine and salt (and fried pan, hahaha).

there is alot of thing u need to monitor besides only the ph.The main objective is not to overstress the guppy which will slowly leads to death.Alot of ways can overstress the guppy easily
-Sickness(once a disease is spread among guppies, it will be very troublesome to deal with it.)
-Mating Problem(Female guppies after being pregnant still being chased by male guppies.Once notice Female is pregnant, u need to separate her)
-Temperature.(make sure not direct sunlight or poor ventilated rooms)
-extremely strong current.(Some peeps bought strong air pump which create extreme current in the water, this could stress the guppy as well, best recommended is motionless water with oxygen)

this is what u shud take note.

There is still alot of things u need to take note which i ommited. Because to futher on means u are indulging urself into keeping guppies.

It's awfully quite in this guppy forum. Wonders where everyone?

Vincor, has Helven received his order from the Thailand supplier? Please keep us updated.

Hehe I think my guppies stabilized. So now it's breeding time!!! But not so fast coz the week after next I'll be away for 1 week......

eh guys..i found out somethin..i dat day almost give up gupy.so i just put them is a tank with some plants..just feed them twice a day..guess wat i realise?there are lots of fries in it..
izit true dat guppy doesn't need to be kept properly..cos they are hardy if u dun bother them..

it is actually the plants that helps. Not that because they are hardy u dont need to take care of.Its a proper way to feed guppies at 2 times a day.
plants provide hiding place for fries.But........ u just have to check on those fries after 4 months later. If some of them don't reach full grown size , u juz have to cull those that doesnt grown full size. This is due to the genes of their parents that produce such weak fries.

regarding helven's order, i guess he will receive the order in 3 days later.
he said he just paid for the guppies.Regarding the guppies, i actually spoken with champ(the owner of the shop in thailand) over msn messenger. He told me not to worry over fishes getting pass malaysia fishery department. He assured me he will deliver it via ems which can pass thru.Regarding what this ems is i am still unsure.

guppies dont need large tank. a 1 feet tank will do. no need fancy filter also. cheap sponge filter / corner filter will do. just remember to scoop out the poops every 2 days or so. But remember to have a ratio 1:2 male to female. male will chase the female to death.

i manage to spawn 3 generations of guppies. too bad my raising fry technique is lousy.my guppies are all very22 small n colourless compare to the LFS.they only have a life span of about 1 year (or less). now all died except a small little one (1/8 the size of LFS guppies).

Just bought a 2 new females and a new male. hopefully they will spawn next month (if lucky)..

when u buy new guppies, remember to buy from LFS with stock rear in clear water....
