Default only females are dieing, HELP please

Help please!
I’m new to the guppy hobby, started it for my 5 1/2 yr old daughter.
The problem I’m having is that all the females keep dieing within a couple days to a week. Water conditions are fine, all the males are nice and healthy, but the females get clamped fins and tails pointed and start floating at the top or find a quiet corner to wait to die. There is absolutely no visible signs of any fish disease (other than the clamped fins and tail). I just had a very close look at the latest victim of the mystery illness (used a magnifying glass); she appears to be bleeding from one of her gills. None of the females have been getting chased or anything like that. Could there be an illness that only affects the females?? If there is it’s new to me.

Any help would be appreciated

hi jumperjames & jumpman23,

maybe what u can do is isolate the sick females in a different small/medium tank. make sure the water with abit xtra conditioner & salt b4 u putting them in. or maybe u can buy General-Aid to help fight of the disease. Hopefully this helps.
