Hello,

My guppy just made a drop 3 days ago, at least 20 of them . All are doing fine. My question is how long before I can separate the males from females??? How long before the gonopodium is visible???

Just wonderin, how much food would be overfeeding, is it the same rule about how much they eat in 2-3 min?

Pretty much the same rule for feeding. However, it appears that feeding them several times a day with smaller amount of food is better than just one big feeding.

I have 500 pcs of Guppy, and I believe I'm among professional breeder in Malaysia, you may not believe but I have successfully created few types of Real Red Eye Albino and several types of Guppy that you can't find in Malaysia market. Here some tips for you to ensure your fry growing fast. 1st, feed them with AZOO 9 in 1 altificial artemia, which cost about RM10 - RM15 a bottle (very small), at least 6 times a day. Change water regularly approx. 3 day once.. make sure your water is safe (clean and chrorine free). 2nd, monitor the water temperature, try to maintain in between 26 - 28 dC. 3rd, after 14 days (2 weeks), feed them with something fresh and live.. I guarantee your expectation within 28 days. Need others info.. just reply me.

Hi Regng,
Thanks for sharing the tip on raising fry. A few of my female guppy just had droppings and now I have about 10 frys on a separate tank. Feeding the fry 6 times a day would be difficult for me as I am working during day time. I can only afford to feed them at night once I reach home. I feed the fry LiquidFry 2 from Intrepit. Hope you can share more tips on what to look out for and what is the proper setup for frys. Do I need an air pump to circulate the water or can I just leave it stagnant. I have water plant in the tank.
