Recently another one of my female guppies gave birth. However, this time it has been less of a success with only 3 surviving fries. The female guppies drop consists mostly of unhatched eggs. What happened? I've moved it to a small tank 2 weeks earlier prior to the drop.

Freakmaster,
Usually female guppies will give birth to unhatched eggs or unformed babies when they have had lots of stress! Having said that, they are a hardy lot. So, it could just be an isolated incident. Do make sure that the tank has at least clean water with no chlorine. I find feeding some bloodworms excellent for birth. Rgds, |
