Hello Uncle Yogibear,
Sigh...... just changed to a new company last week. Quite busy lor can't go online most of the time since my bosses (really bosses not 1 but 3) just sat right behind me. In the old company, I'm considered senior liao so can do whatever I liked but now in new company (although better position) still newbie. So have to gain trust first |

okay I know its kinda late but I looked it up at work for you it sounds like Columnaris "body fungus" although this is not a true fungus but a bacterial infection. Symptoms include Greyish-white stringy material covering most of the body , or white to grey patches. If this happens again i would suggest Maracyn made by mardel. Sorry you lost your guppys hope it doesn't happen again.

Hello Uncle Yogibear,
Still in the environment field but concentrate more on consulting work rather than project management. Hmmm vorex, Could be columnaris but normally columnaris will infect the whole tank rather than a particular fish. Quite devastating if they really strike. Not really recommend antibiotics because future generation will not be able to synthesize the correct immunisation against them and they only will work for the first few times........ |
