normally female give birth 3-4 weeks...observe the gravid spot..which is the black spot at the tummy.
keep an eye on the female..normally when she's ready, she'll just stay in a corner..normally top corner and swim less.. for better results..seperate the female into a planted tank so that she can give birth peacefully... |

well i heard that the females can store enough sperm to give birth for a year
but now i have a diff question...she gave birth today and i took 6 out and left in 8 for population control...the 8 and the mother and 1 other female guppy were living peacefully...for atleast 5 or so hours and then 1 by 1 they start disapeering...why all of the sudden did the 2 femes eat the babies? |

better dun mix with their parents...maybe at the beginning ur females are not hungry..after 5-6 hours they start to get hungry and see thoes fries as food...
no need population control..just let them multiply happily.. haha... |
