Talking Fish Photography: Tips & Hints

hi guys!

i'm hoping by starting this thread, we could learn how to take nice pics of our fishes. i'm practically sooo jealous of some of the guppies pics posted here coz it is sooo nice.. tried to snap some photo of my guppies with my nokia 6131 but it turns out very bad.. my next plan is try to snap with SE k800. any tips or hints? appreciate the help!

try putting ur guppy in a smaller container so easier to take photo..black background...dats all i know...other's i just follow my instinct..

i managed to snap some photos using SE k800. Man... with 2MP, the pics are nice but the flash r reflected by the main tank glass.. okay, maybe i'll try to move out the guppies in a different container.. this time clear plastic container..(non-flash reflective surface, i hope) hihihihihihi.. thanks squareballs

If you have a digital compact camera, it will give you better results. As for camera flash, avoid shooting directly facing the tank. Shoot at an angle instead.

i dun have a digital camera at the moment, diverted the budget to start keeping guppies instead The SE k800 can shoot up to 3MP, which for me is good enuf to get clear pics.. once i get the pics, i'll post it.. thanks!

yup...different angle will help a lot...

Just for general info, higher megapixels doesn't necessarily mean clearer pictures. But, yeah, the K800 is a very good shooter considering it's a camera phone.
