These are wild guppy .....the colorful ones are males and colorless ones are females

yes those are definitely guppies. and they are feeder types that can have some good genes in hiding if you want to play with them. keep only the most colorful males and each generation should be better looking. of buy a couple fancy male guppies to spice up the gene pool. it could be a fun (but long)project in selective breeding. most feeders are mutts of fancy guppies culls. they can have some fun recessive genes that are hidden by a more common dominant one. that can be brought out after a couple generations of line breeding.

By seeing the photo i get the one thing that they are guppy without the fancy tail but they are the original rainbow guppy which look silver normally but the shade of the them is rainbow. To identify there gender you have to know the simple thing that female are big in size in compare to male and the stomach of them are round in the shape and big in compare of the male.
