my cherry is ok .. pretty lively in the tank. blue shrimps are doing fine too but my bee shrimps cant be located ... maybe kena makan liao or hiding in Java Moss or underneath the wood.
I have:
1. Yamato Shrimps - very healthy sudah ada eggs
2. Colour Shrimps - sometime can see them in reddish or yellowish colour
3. Wood Shrimp
4. Blue Shrimps - not sure if their colour are dye or not
5. Bee Shrimps - still trying to find them

Me like u, have all your shrimps but not the colour shrimp (malayan?) Where can get them ah? I find the wood shrimp to be most beautiful, 1 of mine have very nice deep red linings while the other is beige in colour. I love to see their 2 pairs of webs while feeding but they are very shy and always hiding so alway play hide and seek with them........... hahahaha. Yamato and blue carrying eggs as well, but not sure if i'll benefit from them as shrimplets are too small and is vulnerable to even tetras!

Hey, if you ever come across any other kind shrimps, please let me know ok, i am deeply into shrimps now............... very colourful characters, they!

Cheers,

KG

I think the colour shrimps is malayan. It is the cheapest shrimps, costing 0.70 - 0.80. wow blue shrimp sudah ada telur aaa. i doubt the shrimplets will survive or even hatch. i read that they need salination water: i.e: river mouth water .. the meeting point of sea & fresh waters.

i only have 1 wood shrimp and he is not shy hahaha ... always clinging on a plant vertically.

shall post here if i come across exotic shrimps.

Yeah, sort of sapu all the shrimps. try out this www.azgardens.com/shrimpfactory.php to check on the shrimps available. The cherry shrimps i have of course not as beautiful but they still quite nice. Currently more into shrimps than fishes as the latter is more a hassle as you'll need to feed and such, as for the shrimps, just take care of water change every week and temp, shrimps eat algae and mosquito larvae, not much feeding needed unless your tank dont have algae................ hahahaha!!! Can go vacation without having to worry about feedings!!!!

Also i find the shrimps very colourful character, can mesmerise me for hours on end.......................... wife complaining already, me finding shrimps more attractive, hahahhaha!

Cheers

KG

Read from Killie.com forum that the shrimps are actually quite easy to breed. Just leave them in shrimp only tank and chances are you'll have a bundle of them very soon! Of course that what they say, but i'll know soon enuf.

Blue shrimp with eggs came with excess baggage, albeit a pleasant one!!!

Cheers,

KG

Congrats man!, Better to put in a bunch of java moss for hiding purposes and better the chance of survival. Notice my blue is carrying eggs as well but dunno whether it will materialize into shrimplets.

Cheers,

KG
