Default Fish & shrimp compatibility

Hi guys, I was thinking of getting some shrimp for my planted tank. I'm just afraid my fish might eat them all up cos the shrimps look so small and fragile! What I've got in my tank are:

1 Sailfin Pleco
1 Red Finned Shark (Ruby Shark)
4 Platies
1 Neon Tetra (I know, they're schooling fish. The rest died. Am getting more this weekend)

I'm planning on adding SAE and more tetras in the future. Any advice? What kind of shrimp should I get? I'm getting them mainly for the purpose of keeping my tank clean (also because they look so damn cute! Haha!)

just scare yr ruby shark will finish them into stomach.

so far, i keeping them with tetra, pleco, betta, molly...all living harmony. I keep ghost shrimp to clean the left over. but they do like the pellet also. Beside that, i hv 3 female and 1 male yamato. (3 females carrying with eggs)

Yah lah, that's who I'm afraid of! But I love the ruby shark lah. He's been with me through thick & thin. He jumped out of the tank, survived an ich outbreak and a transfer to a bigger tank. He's a cool fellow lah!

But thanks for the advice. I'll ask around for more info.
