A cheap way (in a way) is to observe your animals. Of course this is only for established tanks.
Once the tanks are established, changes will generally be mild, unless you do something drastic. So it is not necessary to keep checking and testing your tank. Especially if your tank is well planted. So, provided your plants are healthy, shrimp crawling on the gravel happily everything should be fine. Don't worry. |
