Cool any shrimps available in Sydney?
I live on the northern beaches of Sydney Australia, is there anywhere I can buy freshwater shrimps???all that is available are blue yabbies and I want shrimp for my community aquarium. Yabbies are just evil! please help! thanx!

I think it would definately be very difficult for you to find non-native shrimps out there coz of the rules relating to the imports of such critters. There are sure to be some macrobacrium species which you can find in Au but to find CRS, or any caridina sp would be next to impossible unless you plan to smuggle them in.

talking about smuggling ... can i smuggle them in from spore or thailand or even indo ?

Over here want to smuggle easy only mah! esp shrimp! Just chuck them into your water container and bring them over.............. or course must remember not to drink them..................LOLL .

Hi there
You can get Freshwater shrimps from Manly Aquariums. I bought 3 off of them last saturday- and they are a happy bunch.

hmmm I tried there coz I thought they had them, but they only had yabbies... and brookvale... hmmm, maybe manly can out.... I can keep trying I guess!

yay! finally shrimps! from chatswood! currently living in a sectioned off part in my betta house till they are big enough to join the rest of my fish! loving my new friends!!!!!
