The bumble bees I got damn hard to keep. Prone to turning white and dying. Apparently lack of iodine in their diet will cause them to die while moulting.

Just some extra info if you decide to keep them.

Temperature is quite cool, around 27. Most of the shrimp show the same symptoms.. body turn white and die although they might eat normally and etc.. but still die. Then I moved them to a different tank, different substrate and etc. I don't know what is special in this tank, but the white ones eventually recovered and become transparent again. I searched for the condition on the net and it seems that this happens if shrimp don't get enough iodine in their diet. There's iodine supplements and etc available to prevent this. I think algae and etc would contain iodine at least a bit.. so I think it's because the tank before this... no algae.. because quite shaded and no lights..

How long took them to turn white n die after you introduced them inside yr tank? Water change weekly? how many percent? Check out the Cu, Mg and Zn level. 0.002ppm of Cu can kill the shrimp easily. (normal pipe water contained 0.02ppm of Cu if i m not mistaken.)

Within a week they turned white and died. It depends on when they have to moult and shed their old carapace. The water I put old aquarium, aged water. Refilled with rain water. I dunno if there was any copper in it or not.

Rain water! Don't you know how serious is our air polution? i dare not to use rain water for shrimp. Aged water from fish tank doesn't mean suitable for shrimp. Nitrate n nitrite level might be high.

soyadude, you're saying they are surviving in the old aquarium with rain water? actually how does the white color you described looks like? i know after they die, they would turn white.

i also dont have success taking care of tiger. in fact, yesterday my last tiger died ... but bumble bee (i assume is those common one...not diamond) seems to be ok, only not reproducing.
