Dear members,
has anyone bred yamato in their freshwater tank before? Usually, I don't bother much with my yamatos, I only care about my CRS but yesterday while scrutinizing my tank, I found that I have quite a few pieces of young yamato at the size of 1". I obtained my yamatos last September and they have grown to adult sizes already, how did the young ones arrive there in the first? i didn't buy any yamatos since last september! Rgds, Isaac

Yeah, that's why I put as X-files lah. Summore got a few pieces not just 1 piece, if 1 piece maybe could be stunted fella.
You know how big yamato can grow since September till now, so I know those fellas are young ones because their color and body look young. Anyway, just sharing this weird thing with you guys.

I know how to differentiate a yamato and other shrimps. Yamato have dots or lines on their body. I didn't see them when they are small, only see them now when they are 1" in size. Don't usually notice them because everyday I will only see how many crs females are pregnant :P

Bro Soya...
September until now lah, since then never buy any yamato anymore. In fact I'm trying to get rid of them also. I never buy other shrimps for a long long time other than CRS and diamond. Anyway, I guess it will stay as X-files. Some things are always left unanswered. Hahahhaa... Rgds, Isaac
