Hermit Crabs???

hi,

anyone of you hv any xp in rearing hermit crabs? saw some at 88 in subang. read somewhere that you need to add some bigger empty shells so that they can inhabit it when they grow. what's their diet?

plan to get some.

Well, I m not so sure. I also planing to get one. But from I read at internet and forum, seem like there is few type of it.

Bout their habitat, they would prefer dry, but need to put in bowl of water (mix with marine salt). Few drift wood for them to hide and play.

And for food, seem like alot of ppl feed them apple, carrot and vege.

For their shell, its alway good to put few space around (bigger) so that wen they grow big, they can move to new home.

Please note that they Need both freshwater and Saltwater...
Not just Saltwater... This means, you need to prepare 2 dish of water for them.

I wonder it is possible to breed them?
