Default What snail is this?

Hi I'm was starting a 5.4 l nano and only had moss in it. Today when I checked, this tiny critter was here on the glass! Does any1 know what kind of species is this or how it could have gotton in my tank? Could there be more?

Hi, if not mistaken, its ramshorn. I you can goto my thread on fresh water snails for more details.

Well, usually they come in with your plant, and the eggs could be more. The egg usually are small, transparent and stuck on leaf.

As long as they don't grow into large size, you can remove then by manually before they breed again.

As far as i know, they don't eat plant and some ppl use it to clear off some alga. I got few in my planted tanks, but its red in color.

Don't like them, remove them manually, thats all. Hope this help.
