I noticed the same thing with my black mollie, and she just had a lot of fry. I have researched on several websites and it says that mollies will give birth right around the 35 day range depending on its conditions. don't worry, i'm sure she'll proceed when ready.

If you think your mollie is pregnant or was at one time, and is not looking like that now... and you're not seeing any fry, the possibility that other larger fish ate the fry is high. even if you have vegetarian fish, they will eat the fry for an easy way to get protein. be careful where you allow your female mollie to give birth, and remember to take her out of the separate area. good luck!

Hey Dan, my dalmation molly( a mix between black and silver lyretail molly) looks pregnant too. I still have fry in my tank from the last batch that need homes! Hope the babies are born healthy. You may also want to put something in the tank for them to hide in. If these are your first fry here is a warning. They like to burrow under the pebbles at night, so if you don't see them don't worry they will come out in the morning.
