Something Wrong

My female swordtail is sort of lying down in the bottom of the tank. Shes just sitting there. I also have a male.

None of the other fish are doing this, just her, im wondering what it could be because she looks totally healthy.... I'm ondering if she could be pregnant, but i doubt, she doesn't look fat at all.

I need to know if she's just feeling off, or if this is a real problem... Thanx

Well Im no expert, but Iv'e heard it might be a bacterial infection, probibly not though. She may have given birth and is protecting young. But I'm not an expert. Hope she gets better soon!

Since the post was in Oct 05, I assume that you know if the female is pregnant or sick by now!!!

Anyway, I suggest to do 30% water change for 2 to 3 days. Most sickness or "sluggishness" comes from poor water conditions. By improving the water condition, your fish should become "normal" very soon. If not, it is proberbly either pregnant or sick!!!
