Question How often do molly reproduce?

Hi, I have a pair of dalmation molly. They still have 5 fry in their 10 gallon tank that I haven't found homes for yet. My question is how often do molly reproduce? The last "batch" had about 10 fry. Will they note breed till the fry are gone? or will they go right ahead? Thanks for the help! -mandy-

Livebearers have a "litter" approximately once every 40 days. One mating can result in as many as 7 litters - even if there is no male present in the tank after the initial mating.
10 fries is a very small litter!! My mollies had as many as 30 fries a time. My guppies and platys have around 40 a litter.

Exclamation More ?s

Thanks for the advece guys. I have a dalmation molly. She is a bit small, that must be why she dosent have very many. Or mabye she just got a little hungry after giving birth. She (My fish Ellie) has had 3 liters since. After the 3rd I gave my male away . Then she had her fourth when he was gone. She must have gotten pregnant before he left. They were mating for a while though. I was wondering also how old and big in size will the fry be when they can reproduce? My biggest fry are only mabye an inch. The youngest litter are less than a centimeter. And , do think a pet store that is not a chain buissenes would take some fry off my hands. I have way too many!
