I have recently purchased 2 x Atman tanks, both are fitted with a TOP filter which runs across the back on top of the tank. This filter has a sprinkler system which sprays water in to compartments filled with white loops, sponge and activated carbon bags.

Is this filter a wet-dry filter? If not, is it close to being one?

I have read everywhere that wet-dry filter is best for either marine or fresh water tanks.

I am hoping that this top filter is wet-dry filter so that I don't have to look for a better one. Thanks
