Default Angelfish - spawn

My angelfish spawned yesterday evening. The pair is about 1 year old and keep in a planted tank. This is their first spawn and my 2nd time in breeding angelfish since 25 years ago.

I check the eggs this morning and found that more 99% of the eggs were fertilised, only a few eggs turned white. Let's see what happen for the coming 48 hours.

regards
yt

All the eggs missing when i back from works on last Friday.

Dont know who is the culprits but i suspect is one of the marble angelfish coz his stomach is very big. Next time have to take out the eggs immediately.

Default 2nd spawn

The same pair spawned again at about 6.30pm on last Friday(22/10/04). This time my job more tough because I put in more fishes into the community tank. While the pair enjoying spawning, I block other fishes to disturb them. Damn tired, It took me more than half an hour.

Thereafter, I cut the leaf with eggs and put it into a 1.5ft breeding tank. Now I became their parents. For the next 48 hours, I removed those spoilt eggs manually for them, another tough job!

The eggs successfully hatched at about 9.00pm, Sunday(24/10/04), saw their mini tails moving.
