Default Killie Fish

Hi, I am new at here.

Just wondering is anyone rearing killie fish?

It is very hard to find killie at LFS. And mostly is male. I try to find female in order to try breeding.

Killiefishes are quite shortlived and not to mention pricey so a lot of lfs won't bring them in for obvious reasons. If you really want to breed them, suggest you go on aquabid.com to get those killiefish eggs which is dried in peat so that you can hatch them anytime you like.

Ya lo, normally the fish only can live 1 year. Only limited species can live 2-3 years.

I currently only can find at AI with RM 9+. But AI normally have male fishes nia.

Talking killies

these fish live about a year.. some quite expensive, the price can reach up to RM500 for one.. if you want succesful breeding you should keep them in there own tank planted and should be a small tank(5 gallons) so that it they can be closer to each other... once the eggs are laid take them out and put the eggs in a buttertub or something small with airstone. and to speed up for them to hatch put a small pipe in the place where you put the eggs and suck them in there and tape both sides. then put in your poket or something and walk around for 15 minute or so, and when they hatch put them in a tank with half empty water

hope this will help!!
