omg... where i can get that produc? they should be fine after? and does the fin root infect other fishe?
edit: i did some research on product "melafix" it says the following * Heals open wounds and ulcers * Rapidly restores damaged fins * Stops mouth fungus * Treats fin and tail rot * Treats eye cloud * Does not affect pH * Safe for snails and other invertebrates in fresh and salt water * Safe for live aquarium plants * Will not harm the biological filter. so it will only heal the fish but it doesn kill the bacterial in the tank? Melafix wont kill any bacteria in planted tank. I was using it in my 6ft fully planted. I was having this kind of problem before. Until the fin broken and the angel died. So... i dont wanna take the risk for my other angel. just spend around rm20 to get a small bottle.
fin root will infect other fishes. normally a bigger or better lfs selling this kind of medic. |

Pardon me for being busy body.
Take immediate action to see if fin rot is the cause especially the pectorial fin. I have 4 angel I bought about 4 months ago, all grew very well and attained adult size within 3 months. As a result of their apparent health, I overlook them and did not take careful look at them regularly. I now discovered that they all have serious fin rot and the pectorial fin has been so damaged that it has deformed. So, don't be decieved by the look becuase they may be very healthy dispite their fin being attached by rot. Just my share of experiece/mistake. Cheers! BT Lee |
