I just got a pair of swordtails yesterday. I was told that were ok for my tank which is 55 gall. and has 6 tiger barbs, 5 zebra danios, 1 rosy barb, a foot long irridescent shark, a pleco, a blue gourami, 2 gold gouramis a convict and a blck line tetra i think. The light is pretty weak i think, and i feed them freeze dried blood worms and flakes. I also have a few live plants. Is there anything special i should know about them and maybe a few tips to get them how to breed. Please help.

you might want to get more than one female, say 2-3 females to every one male. That way the females dont get tired out by the male chasing them. I wouldnt worry about getting them to breed. If the water conditions are right then they will do it. Livebearers are the rabbits of the fish world. Its all they know how to do other that swim, breath, and eat!
