Default Rasbora Urophthalma Brigittae

Hello.. I am just curious if anyone has come across the "rasbora urophthalma brigittae"? I am interested about this cute little fish that can be kept in school but there is not much information about this type of fish.. would be glad if someone could point out some notes.. or to share about this fish.
Thank you.

Today just saw YT's shop selling this nice little rasbora fish...They are hundreds of them on sale. Quite hardy even if PH around 8.

I have few in my 2ft moss tank for few months already. They are easy to keep.

Not sure is it suitable if my was current is quite strong.. basically in my tank I can see the water current flows.. as I have a undergravel filter pumping out water..

Hi Nick,

YT's shop is located at Damansara Damai, near Sg. Buluh Toll (North South Highway) and Sri Damansara. I did not asked about the $$$ but it should not be expensive. I believe strong water flow is not suitable for the fish as they are too small to fight against it.

Anyway how big is your tank? 2ft should be the biggest to keep this fish because they are so small in term of size. For me even a hundered of them in a 2ft tank seems not enough!

This fish is Boraras brigittae. And Boraras uropthalmoides is distinct species.

Check this thread.

Stan and piscesilim,

Thanks for the correction.

So, it is confirmed Boraras brigittae instead of Boraras uropthalmoides.

oops, my mistake. thanks for the update pisces.
I think Rasbora genus now divided to Trigonostigma and Boraras.

The fish YT's selling is this fish. Boraras brigittae.
I have the same fish.

HTH.

Stan
