Default Dwarf Puffers....

Do you have a PetSmart store near you?? They carry Dwarf puffers in many of their stores, if they dont have them, they can probably get them in for you- Talk to the Fish Dept. Manager. They are inexpensive there, too- $1.99 ea.

Just make sure that they are eating prepared food, unless you plan on feeding them brine shrimp or frozzen food!!

There are also online stores that sell puffers (try LiveAquaria), but they generally stock the brackish critters. Shipping can be a bit high.

Andrew

A lfs in Dengkil is selling quite a lot. About 30 minutes from Sri Kembangan.

Saw a few in Ikano the other day. Wonder if they were for sale. Coz there weren't any price tags.

The petshop in MidValley stocks them regularly.

Hope you read up on their requirements.
Some people say wrong diet will get problem with teeth too long...

I foolishly bought one a long time ago and my angel died because it kept nipping its fins! They're also very, very fussy eaters! Bloodworms and brine shrimp is recommended. Also the snails that normally hitchhike on plants won't stand a chance with them.

But a lot of places sell them. Just look around at any LFS, I'm sure you'll find them. They're pretty common. But a word of caution, though, read up on their requirements and care BEFORE buying. Actually, this refers to ANY fish you decide on buying. I made the mistake of not reading up before buying and lost an angel to the puffer and then the puffer died because he just flat-out refused to eat the fish pellets.

Mini puffer? Are you talking about the dwarf puffer, aka Carinotetraodon travancoricus?
